Conceived in Topanga, California and formulated in Switzerland, Reservoir is a bio-based laundry soap devoted to reimagining the everyday as a site of quiet beauty, deep insight, and environmental repair. We look to nature for not only novelty, but for remembrance—to rediscover what has quietly sustained us all along.
Reservoir exists at the intersection of innovation and origin. We believe the smallest gestures, repeated daily, become a quiet chrysalis with the power to shift culture. By anchoring modern rituals in nature's teachings, we create a way of living that is both quietly radical and human—an invitation to move through the world with greater reverence.
Reservoir began with a question: What if the answers were already here—beneath our feet, brushing against our skin, carried through the air we breathe. Nature has always held the wisdom we are searching for; it's our pace that needed to change. This slowing down—this willingness to look again—became the seed of Reservoir.
Founders Jessie and Melinda

Before Reservoir became their work, its values were already woven through Jessie and Melinda's lives.
Jessie spent a decade in event production, witnessing firsthand the enormous scale of waste and disposability we have normalized. Melinda collected grease from Los Angeles restaurants, converting it into biodiesel that helped artists like Ed Sharpe and Bonnie Raitt take their tours greener. Their paths were different, but the instinct was the same: look closer, question what has become normal, and seek a better way.
Motherhood, their own health journeys, and a friendship that grew into soul family eventually brought that instinct home. Raising ten children between their families, they began asking more of the things they lived with every day.
Reservoir grew from that asking. Not from knowing all the answers, but from being willing to seek them.
